The English Premier League (also called the Premier League or Premiership) is the highest football level in the English football league system. 20 teams compete in it. It is the most watched sports league in the world, with a potential television audience of 4.7 billion people. After the creation of the championship in 1992, the cup was won by 6 teams - Manchester United (13 titles), Chelsea (5 titles), Arsenal (3 titles), Manchester City (3 titles), Blackburn Rovers (1 title) and Leicester City (1 title). The record for the highest number of points in one season is 100 and was set in the 2017-18 season by Manchester City.

An interesting story about the English Premier League is that in the 2003-04 season, the team of Arsenal became the first (and only so far) team to compete in the league without losing even one game per season. This earned them the nickname "The Invincibles."
