Aston Villa (called "Villa" or "Lions") is one of the most titled clubs in English football. It was founded on November 21, 1874 by members of a local cricket club, and the main mission of the football team was to have fun during the cold winter days. The team has played at the eponymous Villa Park since 1897, becoming part of the founders of both the First Division and the Premier League in 1992.

The record holder for most games played is held by Charlie Aitken with his 657 games, and the top goalscorer is Billy Walker (244). The club's hall of fame includes 13 former football players, Stilian Petrov is also one of them with 185 games.
