There are different types of betting systems, each one with a lot of different variations that the players themselves develop in the process of betting according to their individuals needs. Some of the most popular betting systems are:

 

Martingale is one of the most popular and risky systems. Its basic principle is that after every lost bet, the amount of the next bet is doubled. For example, if we start with a bet of 1, 2, 4, 16,  32 etc. If our bet is successful, then we start again from 1. We place a bet always >=2,0. The presumption behind the strategy is that a winning bet at any time will compensate the previous losses. There are huge number of variations behind this system, but overall it remains risky, because in a bad serie you will need to place large amounts of money or give up.

 

Fibonacci sequence is a system very similar to Martingale. The difference is in the steps that increase in this way 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89…etc. After a loss we go a step up. When we make a profit we go down 2 steps. Events are played with coefficients >=2. The system is not so aggressive as Martingale.

 

D’Alembert system is similar to the above two as the loss increase the bet by one unit, where victory is reduced by one unit. For example: bet 1 and win then again bet 1, lose and then bet 2 (increase the bet by 1), lose again and the next bet is 3 and lose again and the next bet will be 4 and when you win the next bet will be 3 (reduced by 1)

 

Paroli system is exactly the opposite of Martingale. The amount increases with each winning and when we lost we start to bet from the starting position. Increasing proportions of bets: 1, 2, 4, 16, 32… as in this system it is important to determine in advance to which step you will play, before you start over. The idea is that winning and losing normally come at a serie. So by this strategy you can maximise the profit when you are in winning serie and minimise when you suffer bad period.

 

1-3-2-6 system is similar to Paroli system, instead of progressive bets to increase (x2) follow the steps 1-3-2-6, but if you lose, you return to the beginning (1). The system is a complete cycle in which after step 6 you are back again to step 1.
