Royal Charleroi Sporting Club is a professional sports football team from Charleroi, Belgium. it is known by the nickname "The Zebras" because of his black and white striped home kit. Plays at the Stade du Pays de Charleroi. It was established in 1904.

Twice became champion of the Second Division. The best performance in the First Division was second place in the 1968/69 season. The club has twice reached the final of the Belgian Cup. Famous players of the team are Dante, Moussa Koita, Sergey Serebrenikov, Daniel Van Buyten, etc.

Charleroi was founded in 1904. Twenty years after its founding, they qualified for the Promotion (then the second level of Belgian football). Rivals from Olympic Charleroi played in the first division in the 1930s and 1940s, while Charleroi (then known as Sporting Charleroi) played one level down until he was promoted in 1947. In 1949, Sporting Charleroi finished in 4th place and Olympic Charleroi finished in 14th place. But Olympic took the lead again after 1955 and their elimination in the second division. At the end of the 1956/57 season, Olympic Charleroi were promoted to the First Division, but Sporting Charleroi was relegated to the Second Division. 9 seasons at the second level of Belgian football followed, while Sporting Charleroi again climbed to the first division in the 1966/67 season. After three years, however, they dropped out again.

In 1974, the first division was changed from 16 to 20 teams and Sporting Charleroi was selected to play in the elite. Olympic Charleroi were also promoted as they won the second division, but remained in the elite for only one season. Sporting went through another relegation in 1979/80, but returned five years later. The best result since then was 4th place in 1993/94.
