Ausburg 1907, known as Ausburg for short, is a professional German football club from Ausburg, Bavaria. It was founded in 1907. They play their home games at WWK Arena. It is the largest football club in Swabian Bavaria.

In the early years they have spent most of the time in the local and regional leagues, as well as in the Second Bundesliga. But in the early 1970s, the team had an average of 300 spectators per game and found it difficult to keep its top players. In 1971/72 it deteriorated even more in terms of game quality, but the following season it began to improve. The following year the club won the league and began playing professional football.

Later they managed to gain more success, but after six seasons in the Second Bundesliga the team was relegated to the lower division. In 1979/820 returned to the Second Bundesliga. Then, however, the Second Bundesliga had to be transformed into just one division with half as many teams, and Ausburg failed to continue its participation in it. Then again several ups and downs followed, and from 1983 to 1994 the team played in the highest league in Bavaria, the Bayern League.

From 1994 to 200 they played in the Regional League. But after receiving significant funding, the team managed to return to the third division, returning to the Second Bundesliga in the 2006/07 season. At the end of the 2010/11 season, FC Ausburg finished second in the league and for the first time in its history won a place in the First Bundesliga.
