Zulte Waregem is a professional team from Waregem, Belgium. It was founded in 2001 and hosts visiting teams of "Regenboogstadion" - capacity 12,250 people. Their highest achievement in the Belgian elite was second place in 2012/13. They have won two Belgian Cups. They qualified for the 2006/07 UEFA Cup, but were eliminated in the round of 32 by Newcastle United. In the seasons 2013/14 and 2017/18 they played in the group stage of the Europa League, and in both cases they finished 3rd in their group.

The club is a product of a 2001 partnership between Sultse BB and SWR Varagem, a former regular participant in the First Division. There was no complete merger. Zulte Waregem reached the highest level of Belgian football for the first time since becoming the champion of the Second Division in the 2004/05 season.

Zulte Sportif was founded in 1950 and became a direct member of the national association. The Zulte BB club was founded after the merger of Zulte Sportif and SC Zulte in 1976. In 2001, the club merged with SWR Varagem, which played in the first division for many years. No club from Zulte was promoted to the Second Division before SV Zulte Varagem in 2002.

However, Zulte BB managed to join the Third Division in 1995. Finished 14th out of 16 for two seasons and dropped out the second time after the playoffs.

In 1999 it returned to the Third Division and finished second. Two years later the club became champion of the Third Division A. The registered office of Zulte Waregem is in Zulte, but the club is based at the stadium of SWR Waregem in Waregem.
