Amiens Sporting Club or simply Amiens is a professional French football team from the city of Amiens. It was founded in 1901. Accepts visiting teams at the Stade de la Licorne. For the first time in their 116-year history, they have played in Ligue 1 in the 2017/18 season. The club has never won a big trophy and is nicknamed the "unicorns".

The Amiens Athletic Club was founded in 1901 by players from the Association du Lycée d'Amiens, a French school championship in 1902, 1903 and 1904. It defeated its first opponents, Saint-Quentin, with a result - 13:0 just a few months after its creation. Then they have dominated the newly formed USFSA league for the first 12 seasons. The first professional section was created in 1933, but it was abandoned in 1952 before becoming professional again in 1993. Between 2001 and 2009 Amiens played in Ligue 2. Then dropped out to the third division to return for the 2016/17 season. Their first season back in Ligue 2 is their most successful season in history, as they finished second and won their first promotion to the highest level in professional French football. In their first season there they managed to survive with a comfortable 13th position in the rankings.

The team has no major trophies. He was the only champion of the Third Division (once), as well as of the Division d'Honneur (Nord) - four times - and of the Division d'Honneur (Picardie) - 2 times. It has won the USFSA League (Picardie) 11 times. Its highest ranking for the French Cup was second place in 2001.

The club changed its name twice - once in 1961, to to Sporting Club d'Amiens, and once in 1989, when it adopted its current name, the Amiens Sporting Club.
