Villarreal is a professional Spanish football team and is located in the town of Villarreal, which is close to the regional center of the province of Castellón - Castellón de la Plana. Until the Spanish Civil War, Villarreal participated in the regional divisions. After the war they continued to play there, and then entered the Third Division until the 1970/71 season.
