Leeds face Manchester United in the 26th round of the Premier League. The excellent performance from the beginning of the year quickly became a thing of the past. Leeds started 2022 with victories against Burnley and West Ham, which allowed him to secure a good lead over those struggling to survive. In the next three rounds of the Premier League, however, the Whites were less convincing. Leeds lost to Newcastle with a minimum of 1: 0, followed by a 3: 3 draw with Aston Villa and another 3-0 loss against Everton.

Marcelo Bielsa is clearly unable to find a replacement for Calvin Phillips. The midfielder's injury opened a hole in the middle and the Whites lost a lot of points precisely because of the lack of an alternative. It can be seen that when Leeds are unlucky in front, it will be very difficult to meet the challenge of their rivals. Against Aston Villa and West Ham, the team's strikers compensated for the mistakes in defense, but the shots on the crossbar against Everton in the first half played a bad joke on them.

Manchester United ended a series of two draws, triumphing 2-0 against Brighton. Unlike the games against Burnley and Southampton, this time United impressed more with their game in the second half than in the first. Brighton stood very well on the field at Old Trafford for the first 45 minutes and did not allow the hosts to put pressure. After the break, however, United picked up speed and especially after staying with a man more on the field, totally dominates his opponent.

The three points allowed the Red Devils to reach the fourth position with a lead of four points over Arsenal, but with three games more. Of course, it is not at all certain that the Gunners will win all three postponed matches, but United should not give up and must continue to perform well. Visiting the hesitant Leeds is a good opportunity for a new triumph of the Red Devils. Overall, after returning to the elite, Leeds is playing hard against United and given the problems with injured players, I expect to lose again.
