Chelsea meet Brentford in the 31st round of the Premier League. Before the break for national teams, the Blues recorded their fifth consecutive success in the championship, triumphing 1-0 against Newcastle. With a lead of eight points and a game less than Tottenham, it is difficult to imagine that Chelsea will miss the third position in the standings. The main goal of Thomas Tuchel and his players by the end of the season is already a decent performance in the final phase of the Champions League and a possible triumph in the FA Cup.

Brentford missed the opportunity to record their third consecutive Premier League victory for the first time in their history after losing 2-1 away to Leicester. Earlier, the Bees triumphed against major rivals in the battle for survival in the face of Norwich and Burnley. Brentford still can't rest assured about their future in the Premier League, as they have an asset of only 30 points, but are one step ahead in the fight for salvation.

Brentford had problems in their visits to the leaders in the Premier League and did not lose by more than a goal difference only against Arsenal (defeat with 2: 1, with a goal in the last minute).
