We present you a relatively new club in Norway - FC Sandefjord. The official establishment date is September 10, 1998. The team is based in the Norwegian town of Sandefjord, with a population of 63,000.

The home matches of FC Sandefjord are held at Release Arena with a capacity of 6,582 seats. The home kit of the team is in blue color, and the away one consists of white T-shirts with white shorts.

The club is also known by the nicknames - "The Boys" and "The Whalers". He is not famous for his huge business card, there are not a lot of trophies in the shop window, but he enjoys the support of the fans in the area.

In fact, FC Sandefjord is the successor of two other local teams - IL Runar and Sandefjord Ballklubb. In 1999 took the place of one of them in the third division and quickly won promotion to the second level. The club established itself as a favorite to enter the Norwegian elite, but twice lost the barrages (in 2002 and 2003).

The historic ascent of Tippeligaen (now: Elitserien) became a fact in 2005, when FC Sandefjord finished second in the First Division. In the next campaign, the team finished in 9th place in the elite division and played a final for the Norwegian Cup. In 2007, however, The Boys finished in 14th place and returned to the second echelon.

In the club showcase of Sandefjord we see 2 trophies - a title from the third division in 1999 and gold medals from the second level in 2014. The only participation in the final for the local cup remains in 2006.
