CA Osasuna is a professional football team formed on October 24, 1920. The club is headquartered in Pamplona, part of the Autonomous Community of Navarre. The team is a constant participant in the top echelons of Spanish football, and in the 2019/2020 season will again compete with the representatives of the Primera Division.

The Basque club plays its home games at El Sadar, built in 1967. The capacity of the facility is 18,761 seats, and its last renovation was in 2003. The home kit of the team is red with blue sleeves and shorts, and the guest kit is changed each season (most often blue or green).

The club is called "Los Rojillos" or "Gorritxoak", which in Basque means "red". The biggest feuds are against the Basque teams Real Sociedad and Athletic Bilbao, but the matches with Real Zaragoza and Real Madrid also fall into the category of "derbies".

Over the past decade, the greatest achievements of the team on the local stage have become a reality. The 2004/2005 season brought a final to Copa del Rey, but was lost from Betis. However, this does not take away from the speed of the Basques, who finished in the historic fourth position just next year. Thus, Osasuna secured a place in the Champions League, where they were eliminated by Hamburger in the third preliminary round.

In the 2019/2020 season, Osasuna started his 39th participation in La Liga, having 38 goals in the second level of Spanish football. They have triumphed four times with the cup in the Segunda Division, and from Tercera they have 7 gold medals. The club's most successful victory came in 1935-1936, when they beat Real Betis 6:0. The most shameful defeats in the 98-year history were inflicted by the giants Real and Barcelona with 0:8 each.

Francisco Punal Martinez is the player with the most matches for the club (372), and Sabino Andonegi (57) has the most goals. In 2007, the club's most expensive outgoing transfer became Raul Garcia, which was bought for €13 million by Atletico Madrid. The experienced midfielder is currently competing with the team of Athletic Bilbao.
