Societa Sportiva Calcio Napoli (SSK Napoli) is an Italian professional football team from Naples, the administrative region of Campania. For most of its existence, it played in the top division of the Italian football.

In historical context, Napoli is in 9th place in the ranking of the most successful Italian teams, and is also the most successful team from southern Italy. It was founded in 1904. In 1922 merged with the Internazionale Napoli team. Antonio Juliano has the most appearances for the team with 502 matches in all competitions, of which 394 in the championship (also a record). Attila Salustro is the top goalscorer for the team in Serie A with his 118 goals.

At the beginning it was the Football and Cricket Club of Naples all together, and its founders were an English sailor and his comrade. Initially, it was not eligible to play in the Italian championship, as this was only the right of the teams from the northern part of the country. Made his championship debut in the 1912/13 season. Over time, accumulated different achievements, but gradually declined both on the pitch and financially. After dropping out of Serie A in 2001, they returned to it in the 2007/08 season.
