Manchester City - detailed statistics and predictions for the upcoming matches
Manchester City Football Club is a sports team from England, more precisely, from the city of Manchester. It plays in the English Premier League and is often referred to by the nicknames "sky blue", "citizens" and "city". The team was founded in 1880, initially called St. Marx, later Ardwick AFC and Manchester City in 1894. Five-time English Premier League champion and also won the FA Cup (5 times in total), Carabao Cup (2 times) and KNK (once).
The founder of Manchester City was Anna Connell (daughter of a priest), who was born in 1885. She grew up watching the spiritual problems in society and in order to improve them decided to create several sports teams, including Manchester City (although then did not wear this name).
The team's first major success was in 1904, when they have won the FA Cup, defeating Bolton. In the following years the team had many serious failures, and for a long time after winning the League Cup in 1976 they did not win other trophies. In recent years, however, the team has played excellently in the English Premier League, even setting a record for the highest number of points won in the Premier League in one season - 100.
A curious story about the team is that their city rival (Manchester United) held a scoreboard at Old Trafford (their stadium), which counted how many years Manchester City did not have a title - and this scoreboard reached 36 years. But after the FA won in 2011 by Manchester City, this scoreboard no longer exists.
