Frosinone Calcio is a professional football team from Frosinone, Lazio. It was founded in 1912, then called the Frosinate Sports Union, but was officially "born" in 1928. The club was expelled from the Italian Football Federation and re-founded in 1990. First played in Serie A in the 2015/16 season. Playing its home games at the Benito Stirpe Stadium and known by the nicknames "canaries" and "yellow-light blue".

The club has a long stay in the lower Italian divisions. But in the 2014/15 season they climbed in Serie B, quickly proved to be a worthy contender and moved to Serie A. On May 16, 2015, the club was automatically promoted after winning as host against Crotone with 3:1. Played in Serie A for the first time in the 2015-16 season. But finished at the bottom of the table. They have won their first point in Serie A in a match against Juventus, and achieved his first victory against Empoli. But that's not enough and he finished in 19th place, leading to his relegation to Serie B. On May 29, 2017, played a semifinal in the playoffs for promotion to Serie A, but lost it to Carpi.

For the second time in its recent history, it climbed to Serie A on June 16, 2018, when it lost 2:1 against Palermo as a guest, but won 2:0 as a host and so, with a total score of 3:2 in the playoff finals they managed to climb into the highest leve of Italian football.
