Ranheim Football (in short, Ranheim) is a professional football team from the Ranheim district of the Norwegian city of Trondheim. It was founded in 1901. Plays his matches at EXTRA Arena, which has a capacity of 3,000 people.

The club played in the elite of Norway in the following seasons: 1937/98, 1938/39, 1939/40 and 1947/48, as well as in the seasons 1949/50, 1952/53, 1954/55 and 1955/56.

Since 2006 it has been acting as a farm club for the best club in Norway - Rosenborg, with the aim of establishing a Trondelag football team in the First Division. Ranheim came close to qualifying in 2007 and 2008. Former manager Per Joar Hansen won a promotion to Ranheim in the First Division after the 2009 season. They played their first 6 home games at Abrahalen, and on July 10, 2010, the team moved to their new stadium, EXTRA Arena. In 2010 it finished in fifth place in the First Division and qualified for the playoffs for promotion to a place with Eliteserien. In the 2017 season, the club won promotion to the elite for the first time since 1955/56 after beating Sogndal - first losing 1-0 away, but winning 1-0 away, playing two extra halves and finally winning 5:4 on penalties.

In 2018 it finished seventh in Eliteserien and reached the fourth round of the Norwegian Cup.

In his home games Ranheim plays with blue T-shirts with a navy blue print and a white emblem, white shorts and blue socks. As a guest Ranheim plays with white T-shirts with blue emblems, blue shorts and white socks. Its emblem is a blue ellipse, surrounded by a white ribbon, with the initials of the team - R.I.L. - in white color.
