Haugesund Football Club is a professional team from the Norwegian city of Haugesund. He is known by the nickname "the Arabs and the Seagulls". It was founded in 1993. It plays at the Haugesund Stadium, which has a capacity of 8754 seats.

On October 28, 1993, the football teams Djerv 1919 and SK Haugar merged, which led to the formation of today's FC Haugesund. The club played for Elitserien in 1997, 1998 and 2000. In 2007 managed to reach the final for the Norwegian Cup, but lost 0:2 to Lillestrom. After a few seasons in the lower divisions, they have managed to win a promotion back to the elite of the Norwegian football by winning the First Division in 2009.

It has twice participated in European club tournaments, both times in the Europa League. The first time in the 2014/15 season. In the first qualifying round defeated Airbus UK Broughton Football Club, beating them at home with 2:1 and achieving a 1-1 draw away to continue with an overall score of 3-2. In the second qualifying round, met Sarajevo and lost 1:3 at home, so although they won 1:0 away, dropped out of the tournament with a total score of 2:3.

The second appearance in the Europa League was in the 2017/18 season. Faced Coleraine in the first qualifying round. As a host won a convincing victory - 7:0. Drawing as a guest and continued with a total score of 7:0. In the second qualifying round faced Lech Poznan, winning at home with 3:2, but lost as a guest with 0:2 and were eliminated from the tournament with a total of 3:4.
