Bournemouth Football Club is a professional team from England, from the city of Bournemouth. It was founded in 1899 and hosts its home games at Dean Court Stadium. Known by the nickname "cherries". They played in the English Premier League for the first time in the 2015/16 season.
As already mentioned, it was founded in 1899, then called Boscombe. In 1923, the name was changed to Bournemouth and Boscombe Football Club. The club won their first trophy in 1946 - the Southern Cup of the Third Division, and was its last winner.
It received its current name in 1972 and won the first Football League Trophy in their history in 1983/84. Joined the Second Division in 1879. In the early years of this century, the team played in the Third Division (called League 1 at a later date), and then (in 2008) was relegated to League 2. But in 2011 a Russian businessman named Maxim Demin bought the club and since then began the rise of Bournemouth. The team qualifies for the Championship in 2012/13. It was then reinforced with several other excellent players and in 2014/15 he won the Championship, which secured him his first participation in the Premiership.
