Aalesunds, also known as AaFK or Aalesund is a football club from the Norwegian city of the same name, with a population of 65,000. It is known by the nickname "Orange and blue" because of the colors of the home kit. The club has a 105-year history, making it one of the oldest in Norway, and the official founding date is June 25, 1914.

Holds its home meetings at the Color Line Stadium, which has a capacity of 10,778 seats. FC Aalesund moved to this stadium in 2005, and before that held its matches at Kramira Stadium. In 2006, it recorded its highest average attendance - 9,943 people per game, which became a kind of record for the second level of Norwegian football.

The first participation of the club in the elite since 1963 became a fact in 2003. There was an instant relegation, but in the next campaign they returned to the Eliteserien. From 2007 to 2017, FC Aalesund was part of Eliteserien.

Undoubtedly, this decade turned out to be the most successful in the entire history of the team. Aalesund played in two finals, which he managed to win. In 2009, the Orange and Blues lifted the trophy for the first time after a victory over Molde, and two seasons later, they overcame the resistance of Brann Bergen.

The first championship trophy of FC Aalesund became a fact in 2019, after occupying the first position in the second echelon of Norway. The team finished with a 14-point lead over its pursuers.

Aalesund's biggest rivals are IL Hodd and Molde. Fierce battles are also being fought with the teams of Brann and Stromsgodset. The local fan club is called "The Storm" and has 2,000 members.
